I’m in love with the DIY scrub kit from RAIN Africa. In the cold weather months having dry skin is pretty much the norm for me (unfortunately), so having something that scrubs away the dry skin and replaces roughness with smooth baby skin is important.

At RAIN you can pick your base, which in this case I chose coffee grains as my base. My reasoning? The smell drew me in and I knew it would be a scrub that would invigorate me in the morning. The carrier oil I chose was grapeseed oil which absorbs quickly into my skin. The lavender active is used for a calming effect and is one of my favorite scents. I topped this mixture off by choosing the citrus essential oil blend to add a nice fruity freshness to the scrub. The final verdict on this scrub is that although it’s messy, I’m in love. It makes my skin feel like silk. No lie. I would recommend this to anyone. The nice thing about RAIN Africa is that they’ve compiled all of the ingredients in a nice package and the quality of their oils is impeccable. If you can’t make it to NYC to get it, definitely try a coffee scrub with ingredients in your kitchen.

Are you scrubbing this winter? What do you use? Inquiring minds want to know.
